İSTANBUL - Imprisoned co-chair of HDP Selahattin Demirtaş sent a message to people to attend third stage of ‘Conscience and Justice Watch’ of HDP in Van city. “ Not time for fearing but time for courage and stand up” told Demirtaş.

HDP’s (Peoples’ Democratic Party) co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş’ message was read at the last day of ‘Conscience and Justice Watch’ of HDP in Yoğurtçu Park of Istanbul.

HDP’s lawmaker Nadir Yıldırım had read the message of Demirtaş.

“ I congratulate and wish success to your ‘Conscience and Justice March’ that you launched in the time when fascism implements heavy pressure and unreasonable unlawful enforcements.

Priority of fascism is building an empire of fear. Therefore bringing courage into the forefront is emergence need against fascism without ignoring ideologic struggle. We must resist inside and out side by knowing courage is anti-dote of fascism. Continuation of resistance without considering its seize or massified is quite important for us.

I call to people to attend this watch which HDP launched against fascism with ground on shoulder struggle. AKP (Justice and Development Party) is conducting a cruel assault towards all sides of society with seized all powers such as jurisdiction, media and bureaucracy. Everyone is targeted by AKP-MHP’s (Nationalist Movement Party) fascism.

We live the most critical period in Turkey. AKP-MHP fascist block throws Turkey in the fire circle for its parties’ leaders’ and ideologic benefit. This fascist block breaks the country to pieces which never been united. After this hours, the only way to protect country from dangers and threats is being united around a strong democratic struggle. It is impossible to consensus with fascist block with democratic principles. But voters of AKP and MHP should see their parties’ faults and join to democracy block to save future of Turkey.

Our Turkishness or Kurdishness or Sunni and Alevi are not a thing that could make together Turkey. Only a democracy will provide equality, justice, freedom and peace for us.


HDP proved itself as one of the strongest democratic component in this country. In this respect systematic assaults and purges towards HDP is not only targeting HDP’s future but also country’s democratic future. Protecting to HDP is not protecting a politic party but also protect to democracy and living together idea.

We are as HDP is not side with separate the country but side with unity of the country. Not side of violence but side with peaceful and lawful struggle. We are not side with monism but with multiculturalism. We are not side with politico-religious but secularism. Not with rascism but with equal citizenship.

We are as HDP intend on struggling together with everyone in accordance with our principles to protect and transform this country where we can live together with peace. I call people whatever politic opinion, religious or ethnic identity have to struggle against fascism for common future of Turkey.

Erdoğan and Bahçeli are not all of Turkey. We are existing too in this country. These days will pass for sure. Fascist block will separate and shipwreck against our growing struggle” told Demirtaş.

HDP’s lawmaker Yıldırım called people to Kadıköy Port town at 18.0 before leaving Van city for third stage of the Watch .
